LUMS Hosts Shark Tank Event to Inspire Future Entrepreneurs
LUMS recently hosted the highly anticipated Shark Tank event, a dynamic platform that brought together aspiring entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and the university community. The event featured renowned speakers, including Rabeel Warraich, Founder and CEO of Sarmayacar, and Aleena Nadeem, Founder and CEO of EduFi, who captivated the audience with their inspiring insights into innovation and entrepreneurship. Rizwan Siddiqui, the producer of Shark Tank Pakistan, shared his behind-the-scenes experiences and motivated attendees to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams.
Also present at the event was Mr. Abdul Razak Dawood, Pro Chancellor, LUMS and Founding Chairman, Descon, whose participation underscored the importance of bridging academia and industry to foster innovation. The session drew enthusiastic engagement from the LUMS Centre for Entrepreneurship, the Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering School, students taking the Entrepreneuship course at the Suleman Dawood School of Business’s (SDSB), and various student societies.
The event was made successful thanks to the support of SDSB Dean Dr. Fazal Jawwad Syed; Ahsan Sheikh, President, SDSB Alumni Association; Suneel Sarfaraz Munj, Vice President, SDSB Alumni Association; Dr. Shakeel Sadiq Jajja, Associate Dean and the collaborative efforts of LUMS faculty and staff.
Students also had the opportunity to pitch their business ideas in a competitive setting, gain valuable insights from seasoned professionals, and network with like-minded peers and industry veterans.
