We are excited to announce that the Research Internship in Science and Engineering (RISE) Programme 2025 applications are now open! This year, the programme welcomes interns from both STEM and non-STEM fields, making research opportunities accessible to a wider range of students. Those interested in research, regardless of their field, are encouraged to apply!
Who can apply?
The programme suits O/A level and Matric/ FA/ FSc students pursuing STEM or non-STEM degrees.

About RISE
The RISE Programme at LUMS, launched in 2023, offers high school students early exposure to cutting-edge academic research. By spending three to four weeks in research groups under faculty mentorship, students engage in intellectually stimulating projects, gaining hands-on experience and essential skills to tackle emerging global challenges. The programme fosters scientific communication, career exploration, and participation in the RISE Culminating Event, where students showcase their learning. RISE aims to create an ecosystem that sparks enthusiasm for research and equips future generations with the knowledge and skills to thrive.
