LUMS Community Reflects on National Unity and Resilience
The LUMS community came together on May 8, 2026, to reflect on national solidarity, resilience, and collective responsibility in the context of Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos.
The gathering began with the hoisting of the national flag, followed by Pakistan Air Force songs and the national anthem, setting a solemn and patriotic tone for the occasion. The programme continued with Tilawat-e-Quran, after which Provost Dr. Tariq Jadoon addressed the audience, reflecting on the importance of unity, preparedness, discipline, and shared responsibility in strengthening the nation.
Emphasising the need for collective resolve, Dr. Jadoon said, “National strength comes from unity. All Pakistanis must come together, rise above their differences, and work collectively for the progress, peace, and stability of our beloved country.”
The gathering concluded with a dua led by the Imam of the LUMS mosque. Through this symbolic gathering, LUMS reaffirmed the role of higher education institutions in encouraging responsible citizenship, civic engagement, and a shared commitment to Pakistan’s future.
