Muhammad Umar Zafar is a seasoned management instructor and an experienced C-level executive. He has been leveraging his industry experience and a rich understanding of the case-based teaching approach to engage students in participative learning.
Mr. Zafar is from the LUMS MBA class of 1992. He also has an M.Sc. in Analysis, Design and Management of Information Systems from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
As an IT industry expert, he has been engaged in policy development with the Federal and Provincial governments in Pakistan. He has worked with World Bank teams to develop ideas for IT centric interventions in the economy. As part of policy advisory, he contributed significantly to technology section of the Vision 2024 published by the Planning Commission of Pakistan.
He has also been part of prominent business incubation centers in Pakistan, including Plan 9 and Netsol’s Inspire. He has been a Co-Founder/CEO in tech entrepreneurial ventures, as well.
